Living Real Life Together

A few years after I became a believer, I had the privilege of meeting Dick and Janice Kropp, missionaries to Japan. They had endured much in their service in a country in which there was great resistance to the gospel at that time. Janice would often say, “Life is hard!” As a young Christian, I was quite offended by this. I thought that things would all work out, because we had Jesus! Of course, Jesus is the one who told us, “In this world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world.”

What does it look like to “be of good cheer” in a broken and fallen world? Our Heavenly Father never intended for us to face real life on our own. He gave us the Body of Christ to travel this real life journey with us, and he has given us valuable travel instructions in his Word. Let’s investigate them together on Wednesday evenings! Let’s live real life together!

On Guard Apologetics
Stephen Collins
Room 303

1 Peter 3:15 says, “…always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you.”

Faith in God is not merely a leap of faith but is based on a reasonable faith. On Guard Apologetics is based on the book by Dr. William Lane Craig, the premiere leader in Christian apologetics today.

Christians will learn to defend their faith with intelligence and sound biblical teaching. You don’t have to be a pastor or a philosopher to give sound arguments for the existence of God, and this class will equip you to do so.
Take Out: Delivering the Gospel to the World
Adam Guice
Room 300

This class is designed to equip and encourage every believer to take the gospel of Jesus boldly into the world. We will discuss many aspects of sharing our faith like our motivation, our methods, and our mission.

Some other areas of discussion will include our fears, our fields, and our findings.

Luke 10:2 says, “The harvest is great but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask Him to send more workers into His fields.” Will you go?

Kay Belknap

Kay Belknap did not come to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior until she was 32 years old. It was during this time that God in his mercy called her to him. Ever since that day, she has had a love for God and his Word.

Kay has two children, both of whom are married to delightful people, and four grandchildren. She was a stay-at-home mom for 20 years, during which time she served as Chairman and speaker for Christian Women’s Club as well as a Precept Bible study leader. She has led Precept Upon Precept Bible studies for over 30 years, teaching through other venues as well when God has opened the door.

When Kay’s son left for college, God opened the door for her to join Gary and Margo Prechter and Lynn Gilpin to establish Veritas Christian Academy, which opened in August of 1998. She served as the Head of School for 19 years, retiring in June 2017. One of her greatest joys was leading Lower School Chapel for children in third through fifth grades.

As a new member of Trinity of Fairview, Kay is excited about becoming an active participant in the fellowship, growth, and ministry offered through Trinity’s God-given mission.
